"Experience" increased its lead over the "rising stars" to 19 ½ -15 ½ victory thanks to Alex Bielawski and Peter Nielsen. Fabiana Caruana Bielawski punished a mistake on his debut, and Jan Smeets suffered a first defeat of Nielsen. Despite this defeat Smeets retains an advantage in the struggle for right to play in tournaments Amber Blindfold 2010 and Rapid Tournament in Nice. To complete the remaining three rounds, and Smeets is a half point ahead of Nakamura and Caruana.
